Apple iPhone 13 Pro & iPhone 13 Review:
Expected for this fall, the new iPhone 13 is already the subject of many details circulating on the Internet. Here is what to remember a few months before their marketing next fall.
A RANGE OF FOUR DEVICES?
As for the iPhone 12 family released during the last quarter of 2020, the iPhone 13 should be available in four different models. We should therefore find the iPhone 13, the 13 Mini, the 13 Pro, and the 13 Pro Max. If a report from the CIRP cabinet mentioned the poor sales score recorded by the iPhone 12 Mini (only 6% of iPhone sales in the world), Apple should still give this category a chance with an iPhone 13 Mini.
It could also find a wider audience since the 12 Mini and its 5.4-inch format competed last year with the iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 11 2019 at discounted prices.
WHAT PRICES FOR THE IPHONE 13?
Since the year 2020 was based on a fairly large iPhone 12 lineup with the four models we discussed above, Apple could follow the same pricing policy.
We would therefore be entitled to an iPhone 13 Mini offered from 809 euros, an iPhone 13 at 909 euros, an iPhone 13 Pro at 1,159 euros, and finally a 13 Pro Max at 1,259 euros.
WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE?
Considering Apple’s well-established iPhone business habits, you don’t have to be a guesser to bet on a launch slated for next fall. Last year, Apple held its traditional back-to-school keynote on October 13 for a commercial launch at the end of the same month. A year which was also marked by a one-month lag compared to previous years, due to production delays. The pandemic has also come here to put its grain of sand. For 2021 and due to the supply problems of certain electronic components, the same type of scenario could repeat itself.
A REVISED DESIGN OR NOT?
If 2020 had introduced a design for the iPhone 12 that broke with previous iPhone editions, 2021 should not be a game-changer at this level. It is, therefore, a safe bet that Apple offers iPhone 13 with flat edges. But a first aesthetic point would change this year since Apple could decide to abandon glass in favor of stainless steel on the back shell of the iPhone 13, advance the YouTube channel Technuto.
However, some details could undergo a facelift. Starting with the famous notch still present since the iPhone X and which has become a form of signature for Apple devices. This would not disappear, but would however be narrower, according to a tweet shared by DwanRi, which shares leaks concerning Chinese factories. Apple is said to have succeeded in reviewing Face ID technology so that it takes up less space.
Well known to fans of the Apple brand, the leaker McGuire Wood, from the Appleosphy site, suggests that Apple could offer for the first time a fingerprint sensor located under the screen. A technology that is not new and which has already shown its worth with many competitors, starting with Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi, in particular.
The back photo unit could also be slightly retouched by being thinner and adopting a new arrangement of the sensors. At least that’s what a certain Waqar Khan, YouTuber specializing in tech, is saying. Still, the renderings unveiled on his Twitter account are in no way official. It is therefore advisable to take this concept with hindsight.
REALLY IMPROVED AUTONOMY?
While the main competitors of Apple rely on batteries from 4,000 to 5,000 mAh to offer a range blithely exceeding a day and a half or even two days, the iPhones are still often criticized for not exceeding the day. A point that could be resolved in 2021. The iPhone 13 could thus benefit from more advanced batteries and a new autonomy management system thanks to iOS 15, which could indicate when it is more efficient to recharge its iPhone, say several specialized media.
