The Chrysler 300 has been around for nearly 70 years (with a break or two), but 2023 will be it’s last.
To mark the model’s demise, Chrysler is introducing a limited edition 300C, of which only 200 will be offered in the Canadian market. The presentation took place tonight as the 2022 Detroit Auto Show prepares for a week of intense automotive action.
The first and foremost selling point of the 2023 Chrysler 300C is that it is powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI engine with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The top speed is set at 258 km/h, and 0-60 mph (96 km/h) takes just 4.3 seconds.
Other performance features include red Brembo four-piston brakes, a 3:09 axle ratio limited-slip differential, an actively damped suspension, and black, rounded exhaust tips that accentuate an active exhaust system from which Chrysler promises a muscular, throaty sound.
